Why Sol Tropical?
Sol Tropical was born from a simple desire: to bring the feeling of Brazil into everyday clothing. Not the Brazil of postcards, but the Brazil of sun-drenched afternoons, bold individuality, and a laid-back sense of elegance that Brazilians carry with them wherever they go.
Each piece in this collection tells a story. From minimal tropical prints to daring color contrasts and retro-inspired stripes, Sol Tropical blends nostalgia with modern tailoring. It was designed and made in Vancouver, in small batches, for the man who wears his story with pride.
The Colours
Golden yellow and off-white. Two colours that tell the story of a Brazilian summer day.
The yellow comes from the heat itself. The kind of warmth you feel in January in Brazil, when the sun is relentless and the light turns everything golden. It is the colour of joy, of energy, of a summer that never apologises for being too much.
The off-white is the answer to that heat. In Brazil, every summer afternoon around 3 o'clock, the rain comes. It cools everything down, washes the streets clean, and gives the day a second breath. That is what the white represents. Renewal. The contrast that makes the yellow mean something.
Shirts
Sol de Janeiro
A striped shirt in warm yellow and off-white. Named after the city where Brazil's spirit lives loudest, it radiates joy, light, and optimism. Retro in nod, modern in fit, and unmistakably tropical in energy.
Brisa do Sertão
An all-over minimal macaw pattern on a light fabric. Named after the quiet freedom of the Brazilian countryside, this shirt speaks of calm, self-reflection, and understated elegance. For the man who carries depth without noise.
Sewn with the same care the sun gives to everything it touches.
Designed and made by hand in Vancouver. Every piece in the Sol Tropical collection was cut and sewn by Gustavo himself, in small batches, with care and attention in every stitch. Light fabric construction suited for warm weather, with expressive prints built around Brazilian cultural imagery, minimal and bold in equal measure.
